Consider this: the tabernacle is the form. The presence of God is the life that fills the form. In the middle, we have the priesthood – Aaron and his sons – tending the altar (the central axis). They tend the menorah, the altar, and the incense, day and night, so that the fire on the altar does not go out, the light of the menorah does not go out, and bread does not cease from before the Lord, the incense does not cease from going up before the Lord. They tend. Who else tends in Scripture? Adam. God made the earth, land, seas, and space – a lifeless form. Then He filled each of those forms with life. The sun and stars filled the space. The fish filled the seas, the birds filled the air, and the creatures filled the land. And then He put man in the Garden, to tend and keep it.
Now consider that in Messiah Yeshua,
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 1 Pet 2:9
In Messiah Yeshua, the original purpose of man is restored. He are in Him a royal priesthood, and as priests, we are to tend, just as Aaron and his sons were to tend. Tend what? Ah that is what we are learning, and what the related links below hope to answer.
