1/2 c water
1-1/2 c sugar, any combination of white and brown sugar
1 tsp maple flavoring or extract
vanilla extract to taste
In a heavy saucepan, bring the water and sugar to a boil, and boil for 5 minutes. Take off heat, cool, stir in extract. Pour into a jar and refrigerate. To make cinnamon- infused syrup, place a cinnamon stick into the jar, and pour the syrup over, and refrigerate.
