The central axis highlights for us, that the purpose of the Law of the offerings is so that we may receive atonement and forgiveness for our (unintentional, not willful or malicious) sins. Yeshua fulfilled the Law of the offerings, and made atonement for us so that we might receive forgiveness for our sins.
Why does the LORD make a distinction about the unintentional sins vs. the malicious sins? Because salvation, justification, and forgiveness revolve around the circumcised heart which repents of sin and is loathe to continue in them, loathe to offend the LORD. The man who says, “I am saved and have received forgiveness,” who remains in an uncircumcised heart which delights in sin and loathes the LORD’s commandments defining sin, who delights in offending the LORD, is not saved, and has received neither atonement nor forgiveness for his sins.
