2a) 1 Kin 8:53, May Yehovah our God incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, and His statutes, and His judgments, which He commanded our fathers.
Our Father, Yehovah our God, is calling His sons and His daughters to give Him their hearts, to observe and walk in all His ways. His ways are mercy: for while we were yet His enemies, He gave us bread from heaven to eat, and living water to drink (Rom 5:8, Joh 6:33, Joh 4;10); He sends rain on the just and unjust (Mat 5:45), and His kindness led us to repentance (Rom 2:4). And His ways are truth which does not change (Mal 3:6): the commandments, statutes and judgments He commanded our fathers in Torah are the definition of sin (1 Joh 3:4). Whoever confesses and forsakes their sin — the transgressing of His commandments — will have mercy, but whoever covers them and continues in them will not prosper. We are the house He is building for His name, by His wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Therefore He is calling us to walk in His mercy and truth: to take knowledge of His ways, to understand His commandments, and to keep them; and to forsake contentions with others, but instead walk in kindness toward them. For the bride He will look for at His return, is a woman of valor, not of contention!
