2 c thinly sliced fresh strawberries
1/3 c sugar
3 T lemon juice
1 recipe vanilla custard ice cream, unfrozen
Combine the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice, and let macerate for 2 hours. Strain the juice and stir into the chilled custard. Freeze the ice cream according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and add the reserved strawberries during the last 5 minutes of freezing.
