1 c soy sauce
1 c water
3/4 c sugar
4 cloves garlic, minced and pasted
2 green onions, sliced
1 tsp minced fresh ginger
Combine all marinade ingredients and marinate steak, chicken or salmon. Grill or stir fry meat. To thicken sauce, stir 2 T cornstarch into a little water, whisk cornstarch into marinade and heat marinade to boiling. Serve sauce with meat and vegetables.
Teriyaki grilled salmon is wonderful on a salad with avocado and broccoli sprouts. Teriyaki stir fried chicken or beef is good with carrots, cabbage, and broccoli.
