filling for a 3 layer cake (2 and 4 layers in parentheses):
1 c whipping cream (2/3 c, 1-1/3 c)
1 tsp vanilla (2/3 tsp, 1-1/3 tsp)
1/4 c sifted powdered sugar (3 T, 1/3 c)
Beat the cream and vanilla till foamy; gradually add the powdered sugar. Beat till soft peaks form, then chill.
