THREAD
Americans say in their own words what @realDonaldTrump and @FLOTUS mean to them.
I think I can do this without getting my account frozen.
It’ll take longer than it should, but…TWITTER!
Have you noticed the–you know–DIVERSITY and UNITY that Trump supporters display?
How’d THAT happen?!
The next one.
“We just want to wish you a quick and speedy recovery” – THANK YOU!
How’d it happen?
DELIVERING.
KEEPING PROMISES.
Words alone mean nothing.
Only actions count.
You know, like, NOT RIOTING?!
And another one.
“Please get well. Praying for you and your family. God Bless!” – THANK YOU!
Those of us who support Trump don’t see color.
Years ago, my communist brother told me that race is the most important thing about a person.
Think of the ramifications of such a statement.
There was a little race-based shindig you may have heard of called WORLD WAR II.
Both the Nazis and imperial Japanese said that race is the most important thing about a person.
They tried to EXTERMINATE people who they considered “racially inferior.”
We struggled with our own racial issues, but there was no move to EXTERMINATE races.
The US is a work in progress.
It’s amazing how far we’ve come DESPITE almost EVERYONE who was and is in a position of power.
“Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
–John Dalberg-Acton, 1st Baron Acton
Another video.
“We hope you get well soon because we need you, America needs you.” – THANK YOU, WORKING HARD!
Someone asked, “Is it my imagination, or are Democrats acting crazier than ever?”
No, yes.
They don’t know what love is, so they’re pouring on as much hate as they can.
A prefailed strategy.
And another video.
“And I know we’re going to WIN…I know you’re going to be better” – Thank You! Vote on Nov. 3rd!
I check headlines and ignore about 98 percent of what’s out there.
Last night a Dutchman told me that I’m mentally ill and must seek help because I don’t agree with…Jake Tapper.
I lived in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, from 1975 to 1978.
Second only to Norway for the worst quality of life I’ve ever experienced.
Almost universally hostile people who drank like fish and tried to pick fights with me whenever they could.
ADULTS.
Canals were everywhere. They stank.
We avoided Dutch people because they were so belligerent.
I went back in 1982, and my old neighborhood was absolutely trashed.
There was a department store with a large reflecting pool nearby. Filled with garbage. Graffiti on every surface.
The entire country was miserably unhappy.
Here’s how respectful the Dutch are of their environment.
Jake Tapper and canals full of bicycles.
And booze.
And deranged, homicidal refugees.
Heaven!
And the last one.
Tony Rankin was given a second chance at life thanks to our pro-growth economic policies!
ACTIONS.
KEEPING PROMISES.
DELIVERING.
That’s all it takes.
AND.
It’s the new normal.
You want to be president? You have to keep your promises and deliver.
A final note:
The press and the Democrats have lied about Trump from the moment he entered the race in 2015.
Trump was impeached over lies. He’s been investigated over lies. He was illegally spied on. He’s under constant attack by crooked lawyers.
All the people breaking every rule–like
@jaketapper
–say that Trump is obligated to be scrupulously honest so that Tapper can continue lying.
THIS IS WAR.
A war declared by Democrats and the press.
Trump can say whatever he wants, as far as I’m concerned.
I trust him to not harm us.
If he uses strategic deception, FINE BY ME.
And let’s be blunt:
After The Great Toilet Paper Panic earlier this year, it’s clear that too many of us can’t handle the truth.
The frigging STOCK MARKET can’t!
I hate investors. They make me sick.
If I can remain calm while my net worth is cut in half on paper, you’d think billionaires could.
Rat-bastard invertebrate poltroons.
“Oh no! I may have to sell one of my ten mansions for $50 million!”
Let me just check the headlines. Hold on.
There we go.
I’m not afraid, Mr. President.
I’m voting in person. Got my California mail-in ballot today, which I will surrender unopened at the polling place and stamp the ballot straight Republican without even looking at the names or offices.
Only Trump and @VP Pence.
I’ll end with a Stephen Crane poem that describes this era perfectly:
I saw a man pursuing the horizon;
Round and round they sped.
I was disturbed at this;
I accosted the man.
“It is futile,” I said,
“You can never — ”
“You lie,” he cried,
And ran on.
Let them pursue the horizon.
The rest of us will enjoy the fruits of Donald J. Trump’s labors.
Thank you, Mr. President.
Be well.
