Act 24:1-27 chiastic structure:
1a) Act 24:1-9, The Jews who came down, with the elders, to give evidence to the governor against Paul;
1a) Act 24:1a, Now after five days Ananias the high priest came down with the elders;
1b) Act 24:1b, And a certain orator named Tertullus;
central axis) Act 24:1c, These gave evidence to the governor against Paul;
2b) Act 24:2-8, The accusation of Tertullus against Paul before the governor;
2a) Act 24:9, And the Jews also assented, maintaining that these things were so;
1b) Act 24:10, Paul answered, acknowledging Felix as judge in his case;
1c) Act 24:11-13, I went up to Jerusalem to worship/ they found me disputing with nor inciting anyone;
central axis) Act 24:14, “But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets;”

1a) Act 24:22, When Felix heard him, he adjourned the proceedings, postponing his decision;
1b) Act 24:23, He commanded Paul kept but with liberty, his friends visiting + providing for him;
1c) Act 24:24, When Felix came with his Jewish wife, he sent for Paul + heard him re: faith in Christ;
central axis) Act 24:25a, Now as he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid;
2c) Act 24:25b, And answered, “Go away for now; when I have a convenient time I will call for you;”
2b) Act 24:26a, Meanwhile he also hoped that money would be given him by Paul, that he might release him;
2a) Act 24:26b, Therefore he sent for him more often and conversed with him;
2a) Act 24:27, But after two years Porcius Festus succeeded Felix; and Felix, wanting to do the Jews a favor, left Paul bound.
