Essential Studies.
Numbers 23, God the truth-teller
Additional studies: Numbers Index
God does not lie nor repent His words. The word which comes from His mouth is a true word. This means that no matter how unbelievable something He says might seem, it is the true description of reality. It is so sure of happening that it is as if it is already done. When He says, “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you;” (Jer 31:3) He is truth-telling.
Psalm 91, The place of refuge
Additional studies: Psalms Book Four (90-106) Index
The benefits of protection described by Psalm 91 belong to a certain group of people, not all people. Those who make YHVH their refuge and dwelling place (I live in and with Him); who place trust as an active, and not a passive verb. It’s when the trial hits that we activate our trust. Because we trust the good heart and great love of our Abba Daddy, we continue to pour out our love upon Him no matter what storms are raging! ♥
2 Corinthians 4, Light that shines out of darkness
Additional studies: Corinthians Index
God restores sight to the blind! So rebuke the god of this age in his oppression, and command sight to be restored in the name of Jesus, to those who are perishing. And do not stop there. Notice that the god of this world blinds minds, but the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ has shone in the hearts of those who believe. Shine, Light, shine!
