Dave and I heard about an art fair on Longboat Key, and decided to investigate. Directly opposite Sarasota on the Gulf side of the intercoastal waterway, is Siesta Key and St. Armand’s Key. Connected by a bridge, Longboat Key lies to the north of St. Armand’s. It is a beautiful drive, full of blue sky, turquoise ocean, palm trees, hibiscus and bougainvillea. When we got to the art fair, we couldn’t find parking.
Oh, well, we continued north to Anna Maria Island, which lies directly opposite Bradenton on the Gulf side of the intercoastal waterway. It had been months since we were out doing anything fun, so we had a wonderful day bumming around. We stopped for lunch at the Beach House, one of our favorite places on Anna Maria. And that is when I remembered to take pictures (here is another post about Anna Maria Island with pictures.)
Thank you for a beautiful day, honey!
