All following menus are for the female endomorph body type and are based on the diabetes exchange diet. The exchange diet prescribed for me by my doctor comprises 1400 calories per day, based on 8 exchanges of allowed protein, 4 of carb, 4 of vegetable, 3 of fruit, 2 of milk, and 4 of fat.
breakfast :: 1 protein, 1 carb, 1 milk, 1 fat
snack :: 2 protein, 2 fruit, 1 fat (and 1 milk if eliminating milk in dessert)
lunch :: 2 protein, 2 carb, 2 vegetable, 1 fat
dinner :: 2 protein, 1 carb, 2 vegetable, 1 fat
dessert :: 1 protein, 1 fruit, 1 milk (adjust snack exchanges)
