Yesterday I sent change of address notices to most of our bills, and worked on acquiring a PO Box in Sarasota for business mail … unfortunately, while you can reserve a PO Box long distance, they will not actually give you the box number until you are physically in their post office with two forms of ID showing you are a resident of the address you put down in your PO Box application. Rats! I can’t yet make any address changes for either of our businesses. So one of the first things we will have to do open arriving is go to the DMV, surrender our Colorado driver’s license and be issued our Florida license. A driver’s license will work. A copy of our lease agreement will also work for the second form of ID. Oh well, we needed Florida licenses anyway in order to qualify for state resident annual passes to Disney!
Now I just need to send out change of address cards to family and friends … I think I will wait until we have a Florida phone number also. Dad and I are planning on not getting a land line and just keeping our cell phones. I think we will change our numbers to Florida numbers since we want to change our plan also. My e-mail address is not going to change (yay web-based e-mail!) but Dad’s will. But that doesn’t matter, since he doesn’t read his e-mail anyway or answer it, LOL. At least everyone who reads this blog knows what our new address is.
