Inside the Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, there are a series of five exquisite mosaics which tell the Cinderella story. They are huge, but high up in one wall, so it was difficult to get good pictures. They were designed and installed by a world-famous mosaic artist, but I can’t remember anything about him. There is a plaque telling about the artist and the story of the mosaics inside the castle. I had to piece together several pictures to get the one large picture of one of the mosaics, the one where Cinderella is running from the castle and leaves her shoe behind. Click on the thumbnail of the snooty stepmother and her escort to get the full picture. It is a large picture, but the mosaic is beautiful.

I am the owner of said castle. While the castle rests on the Disney grounds, I have first rights on any and all decor inside and out of the castle. Aren’t the mosaics lovely? The Prince will be so glad to hear how you enjoyed them. He thought it foolish to spend so much on art, but I insisted. However, when we are at Disney I mostly travel in cognito; at times I make myself available to the public without disguise. I am glad you enjoyed my old home.
