The Hebrew Paragraphs:
24:1-4 {s} Divorce and remarriage
24:5-6 {s} Do not steal the happiness of your wife or the life of the family
24:7 {s} Theft of persons a capital offense punishable by death
24:8-9 {s} Tzaraas, or the evil tongue
24:10-13 {s} Do not covet the pledge
24:14-15 {s} Do not covet the wages of your hired men
24:16 {s} Do not covet revenge so that you put to death the innocent for the guilty
24:17-18 {s} Do not covet the pledge that belongs to the poor
24:19 {s} Do not covet the grain that is for the poor
24:20-22 {s} Do not covet the fruit that is for the poor
In my notes, I have Deu 23:15-24:7 explaining the 8th Commandment, Do not steal. This is its Chiastic Structure:
The C pair can be understood, in that vowing, and then breaking those vows steals from YHVH in 1C, or the spouse in 2C.
When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the army, neither shall he be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and shall give happiness to his wife whom he has taken. No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone as a pledge; for he takes a man’s life as a pledge. Deu 24:5-6
In our English Bibles, the two sentences of Deu 24:5 and Deu 24:6 are in two separate paragraphs, but the Hebrew paragraph division reveals to us that YHVH considers them a single paragraph teaching a single topic; and even more amazing, that they expound on Do not steal. How, is fascinating.
Deu 24:8-9 explains the 9th Commandment, Do not bear false witness. This is its Chiastic Structure:
It doesn’t make any sense having anything to do with Do not bear false witness at first glance, but we can see that Theft, the 8th Commandment, is the topic through Deu 24:7, and Covetousness, the 10th Commandment, is the topic beginning in Deu 24:10. But God is smarter than we are, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. How this puzzle is solved is also fascinating, and mind-blowing.

Awesome Job sister, what a powerful yet simple way of systematically explaining the relevance of the Levitical Law in the lives of us diciples in time today as we being under the Law of Jeusus Christ the Law of Liberty uphold. Have a blessed week
