I found this poem this morning while reading:
Daisies, thou flowers of lowly birth,
Embroiderers of the carpet earth,
That gem the velvet sod;
Open to spring’s refreshing air,
In sweetest, smiling bloom declare,
Your Maker, and my God.

My garden and my flowers refresh my soul. The last couple of days have been hard ones for me, and working in my garden always reminds me of how much the Lord loves me: He created such a variety of beauty for no other reason than to bring delight to the eyes and the nose (I have an abundance of fragrance flowers). My favorites of all are the pansies, they just radiate joy. Here’s some of my own “embroiderers of the carpet earth” (click on the thumbnail, can be enlarged twice):

These pictures are gorgeous! If you want to share any for the templates we are building in this blogger community, let me know. publisher@thehomeschoolmagazine.com … would really love to use some. Perhaps a free small ad in the mag for a series of pics? 🙂

That's my motto. I just love them and I am constantly trying to get them to bloom longer and bigger. My garden gives me such joy and peace, I could be out there all day! We recently built a patio (see my blog) and I have it filled with flower pots and beautiful flowers. In spite of the fear of sounding corney….When I look at the beautiful colors and shapes I feel as though God is giving me a big "God Hug!"
