tetzaveh paragraph divisions and chiastic structure 2013 feb 22
tetzaveh: sanctified by His glory 2012 mar 03
tetzaveh: first made, then consecrated; finding messiah in torah 2011 feb 10
There was a loose end in the chiastic structure for last week’s torah portion, terumah. Loose ends usually end up being elements of greater structures, and so it has turned out. Terumah and tetzaveh combined form the following chiastic structure:

central axis) Exo 27:1-8 {s} The pattern for the altar;

2b) Exo 29:45-46 {p} I will dwell among the children of Israel;
2a) Exo 30:1-10 {p} The pattern and service for the altar of incense.
I have been meditating on the A pair. 1a) Let the children of Israel bring me an offering, willingly with his heart, with 2a) the pattern and service for the altar of incense –> that I may dwell among the children of Israel.
Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Psa 141:2
For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles; In every place incense shall be offered to My name, And a pure offering; For My name shall be great among the nations,” Says the Lord of hosts. Mal 1:11
Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. Rev 5:8
Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. Rev 8:3-4
The smoke of the incense which ascends up before the throne of God is the prayers of the saints. Isn’t it interesting that the incense that was to be burned on the altar of incense, is sweet incense? Our prayers going up, are sweet to Him. Our prayers going up encompass the dwelling place of the Lord with His people. Our prayers, morning and evening, are the continual offerings which the Lord desires His people to bring to Him with a willing heart … here in the third Temple, where the Holy Spirit dwells within the Body of Messiah. ♥
