This paragraph is the first place in Torah where God introduces the concept of holiness:
And He said: “Do not draw nigh this place; put off your shoes from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Exo 3:5
Holy is Strong’s H6944 קדש qodesh, a concrete noun meaning, “a sacred place or thing,” from Strong’s H6942 qadash, a primitive root meaning, “to be holy.” The ancient pictographs are quph + dalet + shin, but according to the Ancient Hebrew Lexicon, the quph was transposed from an original chet:
chet ח = the wall, thus outside, divide, half
dalet ד = the door, thus enter, move, hang
shin ש = two front teeth, thus sharp, press, eat, two, again
A wall makes a separation (chet) between two parties. When one comes through the wall via its door (dalet), the two parties (shin) can be joined together.
When I saw the story the ancient pictographs were telling of qodesh, my mind was blown, because Yeshua said:
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” Joh 10:9.
