If we note God’s paragraph divisions in these two chapters, something interesting reveals itself:

Scripture is trying to teach us, to follow the LORD’s commandments, just as He has commanded them, without deviating to the right or to the left. Without adding to them or subtracting from them. If a man tells us that obedience to the LORD’s commandments is obsolete, is that what Scripture is telling us? If a man tells us that the LORD’s commandments aren’t enough and we need to add these others, is that what Scripture is telling u?
When we do just as the LORD has commanded [not men], not only do we receive the blessing which follows obedience, but the glory of the LORD also follows. Are our churches (homes, businesses, daily work) so full of the glory of the LORD, that we are not able to enter them because of the glory which rests upon them? Is the glory of the Old Covenant greater than the glory of the New Covenant? Well – if we do not think so, then hadn’t we ought to ask ourselves, have we done all just as the LORD has commanded Moses?
Beloved, it scares us in this country to do as the LORD had commanded Moses. We are not talking about salvation here! All of these people were already the LORD’s people! But Moses didn’t make this stuff up – he repeated the LORD’s commandments – none of these commandments came from the mind or will of Moses.
Just this weekend I heard with my own ears, a well- known preacher say in the pulpit that there are very few places in the Bible where God makes known His will. Has he been reading the same Bible that we are reading? How could he say something like that? He could say that because he has been taught by men to say that, but that is not what the Scripture teaches. The Scripture that we have been reading has been FULL of the commandments of the LORD! His commandments express His will!
Let us at least seek to do the LORD’s Ten Commandments! 99% of the church does not rest on Sabbath – a modern deviation from historical Christianity! I want to walk in greater blessing and greater glory of the Lord in my life, so I have been challenged by Scripture to walk in greater obedience!
I apologize, I did not mean to start preaching, LOL.
Finding Messiah: It says, when the tabernacle was raised, that Moses finished the work. If we remember that Moses is a type of Messiah, is He also building a tabernacle? Yes, indeed:
So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” But He was speaking of the temple of His body. Joh 2:18-21
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1 Cor 3:16
For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “ I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” 2 Cor 6:16
Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit. Eph 2:19-22
Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Pet 2:4-5
It is Messiah Yeshua who is building His tabernacle made without hands, out of us, His living stones, for a place for His glory to dwell!
