Good morning from Colorado! I am starting to get settled. My laptop is in progress restoring my files from my computer at home (which is toast. My office was directly under the portion of the roof that was torn off, and it rained, rained, rained.) Dave had the brilliant idea of taking out the hard drive and bringing it with us when we evacuated, so I still have all my files. And, Dropbox as well. I should be back to work from Kellie’s by Sunday.
As for our house, clean up has begun. 100% of my curriculum library and perhaps 60 or 70% of my history library was ruined by water damage. But my lit and theology library survived without a scratch. A lot of our furniture is salvageable but the front half of the house has to be rebuilt.
Dave is working on that as we speak. All our NNP inventory was saved thanks to Mike who moved it from the place we had secured it to a new place right before the storm hit. If it had stayed, it would be toast too, but it is not.
Today I am running errands with Stephanie and Sarah and Aiden. Whoo hoo!
