This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your ways prosperous, and then you shall have good success. Jos 1:8
The primitive root.
Strong’s H1897 הגה hagah, a primitive root meaning, “to meditate.” The 3-letter root is hey + gimel + hey.
hey ה = man with upraised arms, thus look, reveal, wonder, worship, breath
gimel ג = the foot, thus foot, walk, gather
hey ה = man with upraised arms, thus look, reveal, wonder, worship, breath
The story: To wonder (hey) at something while walking (gimel, i.e. going about the day) until revelation (hey) comes.
