Walls in front room done! Patching, drywall, and painting done. We are making progress; and I am trying to collect pictures from everyone who is taking them. We all get up early and work late, so until Sabbath, everyone is tired, LOL.
The walls in the front room have been finished, and painting has been happening yesterday and today. The structure for the dropped ceiling is done, and when the walls are finished painted, the ceiling can be installed. A church leader friend of the Elliotts’, who lives near them in Michigan, just happens to be in Florida right now visiting family. His day job is professional home construction. He is coming over on Sunday and Monday to install my new kitchen countertops.
Yesterday Dave and I and Kraig and Anne went to Lowe’s to pick out my new countertops and kitchen backsplash. It is going to be so beautiful! I am super excited to have a real finished kitchen!
The kids have taken down the interior doors, which were just factory primed, and never painted, for the past two days, and are painting them. They dry in the afternoon and the kids put them back up before everyone goes to bed. The last door is getting its second coat on today. Yay, kids!
Yesterday we were so busy on the house that we did not have a chance to cook dinner. So we all went out to Blaze Pizza for supper, and stopped at Southern Creamery Ice Cream on the way home for a treat. The best ice cream in Sarasota, and right across the street from us!
