God reveals what He is about to do to His prophets (Gen 18:17) so that intercession can then go up for salvation and mercy (Gen 18:22-33). It is amazing that God partners with us! And He partners with us, because He does not desire that anyone perish (Eze 22:30). But we have to recognize our role, which is, when we hear of possible judgment coming, not to excoriate and repeat words of death, but to intercede and repeat words of life and mercy, as true children of Abraham.
Psalm 30, Chiastic structure

If, because of wise dealings and YHVH’s favor and blessing on our lives, we increase in our stability and prosperity in this life, will it be shaken and taken away? No … if we do not let our security and prosperity cause us to remove our trust in YHVH and put it instead in our security and prosperity. If we do not become prideful or complacent; if we keep the fire of worship and service burning on the altar of our hearts, and never let it go out (Lev 6:12).
Matthew 22, Wearing wedding garments
Additional studies: Matthew Index
He took the sin of the whole world and “put it on” as a garment at the cross, where He suffered the penalty for sin; and we take His righteousness and “put it on” as a garment, so that we are counted righteous before God by faith, independent of works (2 Cor 5:21). This is true, yet the Greek in 2 Corinthians says that we might become His righteousness, a process of continuing action. If we have truly put on the imputed righteousness of Yeshua by faith, independent of works, it will manifest in growing righteous character and action. As we have seen many times now, you will know them by their fruits, and faith without works is dead.
The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day. Pro 4:18
