Essential Studies.
Leviticus 7, The heart of the sacrifices
Additional studies: Leviticus Index
At the heart of all the Law of the Sacrifices is “YHVH spoke to Moses.” And what did YHVH speak, but His word, which proceeded from His heart (Mat 12:34). His Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth (Joh 1:14). The heart of the Law of the Sacrifices is Messiah, who became flesh in order to be offered up as a sacrifice according to the Law of the Sacrifices.
“For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.” – Yeshua (Joh 5:46)
Psalm 69, Mighty to save
Additional studies: Psalms, Book Two: Psalms 42-72 Index
My enemies are mighty who would destroy me, but YHVH is mighty who would save me. He is mightier, in fact! He proved to be mightier than Pharaoh when he enslaved Israel. He proved to be mightier than Amalek, Haman, and the entire kingdom of Persia. He will again prove Himself to be mightier than Iran and even the nuclear weapons of madmen (written in 2012, and we are seeing the truth of it come to pass in front of our eyes).
1 Corinthians 4, Judge nothing before the time
Additional studies: Corinthians Index
“Judge nothing before the time (1 Cor 4:5).” This use of the verb “judge” is the same as in Mat 7:1, “Judge not that you be not judged.” In Greek it is Strong’s G2919, krino, and means “to separate, select, choose;” hence, “to determine,” and so “to pronounce judgment.” It is judging in the courtroom sense, to examine the evidence and pronounce judgment based on that evidence. Jesus cautioned us to not pronounce judgments on others in this sense, because we do not have all the evidence in front of us, so our judgment is likely to be skewed. We can not see the motives of the heart, for example. (Yes, we must judge – behaviors and actions only, not thoughts, hearts, motives, or people.)
