The central axis, the heart, of the book of Matthew—the record of the life of Yeshua—is Mat 11:25-12:14, Rest in the easy and light yoke of Messiah.
Recall that Messiah is the Living Word made flesh, full of grace and truth (Joh 1:14). Recall that Moses wrote about Messiah (Joh 5:46). If the Living Word is full of grace and truth in action, then it must be that the written Word, the shadow cast by the Living Word, is full of grace and truth in instruction. That grace, that truth, is a yoke light and easy to bear. Or, as John puts it, The commandments are not burdensome (1 Joh 5:3).
Have the words of man told you that Torah is a burden? The Word of God, whose foundation is Torah, says something completely different. ♥
