Praise ye the name of the Lord
Praise Him
O ye servants of the Lord.
Ye that stand in the house of the Lord
In the courts of the house of our God
Praise the Lord
For the Lord is good
Sing praises unto His name
For it is pleasant.
Everything in my life could be crashing down around me, or I could just be having a bad day. Or a good one, for that matter. But no matter what tribulation I am experiencing in the world at this moment, it is forever true that it is pleasant to sing praises unto His name. Refocus my attention, the Lord encourages me, off of my troubles, and on to Himself. With my attention focused on Him, I gain proper perspective, and my troubles shrink to their appropriate miniscule size. I can be of good cheer, for Jesus has overcome the world. The tribulation of this world may even result in my death, as it does every day for Christian martyrs in other parts of the world, but by His resurrection Jesus has conquered death. Death, the last enemy, is a defeated foe. How much more today’s momentary, light afflictions?
There is no better place
Than to be here and to look upon Your face
In Your church or all alone
No better place than to be before Your throne
God of comfort
Lord of mercy
Love that knows no bounds
I adore You
Worship and bow down
