Monday Brittany and I were gone doing some last-minute wedding prep. Meanwhile, back at the construction zone, the front room dropped ceiling was finished and window trim installed and painted. The kitchen counters were taken out and the new cut to fit. While the counters were gone, the Dads worked on the kitchen plumbing.
- Look at that beautiful drop ceiling!
- Kraig and Kandice installing and painting window trim.
- Kacey washing windows.
- Dave and Kraig are redoing the plumbing to the kitchen, installing a new high end water filtration system. Look at that remnant of original wallpaper.
- The kitchen sink.
- Dave’s smoker / grill is our temporary kitchen.
Since I was outside …
- My coral hibiscus.
- A blackberry flower. I was practicing with my macro lens. I need more practice, lol.
- The view from my driveway.

While I was gone with Brittany, Anne ran errands back and forth to Home Depot, Lowe’s and Ace Hardware for the Dads, until they wore her out.
So, almost all the furniture in our living room was donated to us after the hurricane. I did have a nice living room set before, which had to be thrown out because of water damage. The donated love seat, however, still worked for a nice nap spot!
