I had trouble last week posting entries while the homeschoolblogger.com site was being upgraded. It seems everything is in working order now, thank you, HSB!
The Story of the Ancient World is being shipped from the printer’s this week, and we are ready to ship every preorder as soon as they arrive! While I am waiting for the truck, I dug out my sewing bins, which are still waiting to be unpacked. I have a guest room in which to set up my sewing desk, but we have to paint the walls before moving in furniture or unpacking, and that must wait until January. So, my sewing machine is set up on the dining room table right now.
My sister and I have been working on quilts that we are making for all our siblings out of my Mom’s sweatshirts. We finished one for my Mom’s husband, and two wall hangings for Christmas out of her Christmas sweatshirts. We want to try to get one more quilt done before Christmas for our brother. I also found a box full of quilt blocks that have been waiting to be put together, and if I can get that done this week too, I would be thrilled.
That, and my first attempt at baking with a gluten-free flour, will keep me busy the rest of this week. Plus, I would love to take Zane for a play day, and give his Mom a day to finish her Christmas preparations. Or just catch up on sleep, now that she is 4 months along with Zane’s little brother or sister. 🙂
