My sewing machine has been in storage since hurricane Irma. Thanks to our friends the Elliotts, and my husband, it was unpacked in 2022 and I was able to begin sewing again. I recently finished this baby quilt for my grandson. It’s a scrap quilt, and it doesn’t look babyish. Baby quilts don’t have to! The colors are mostly navy, turquoise and a few other blues, golden olive, and black/ gray.
The Paducah Nine Patch pattern is found in Nickel Quilts by Pat Speth.
Even though I only used scraps I already had, I didn’t make much of a dent in my scraps stash. Time to think about the next one!
