Dave has been junk picking at flea markets lately, but what he has been bringing home isn’t junk. Last month it was a nearly new high end juicer with double the horsepower of my old workhorse juicer. The guy had only used it once, and gave it to Dave dirt cheap because he was moving and had to sell everything.
Then our dear next door neighbors had to move to assisted living, and they gave us their beautiful entertainment center, and Mike and Brittany their dining room set with matching china cabinet.
Last week Dave picked up a Nikon Coolpix camera for me, similar to this one:
We went to our local garden center Monday so I could practice on their wide variety of orchids.
Seven pink orchids, and a pink bougainvillea.
One thing I love about this camera: I can set the resolution to high, and get 300dpi photos from my camera to my computer, the resolution needed to make prints. I couldn’t figure out the settings for any of my other cameras, for high res. Hooray! That was the first hurdle.
Besides my macro flower shots and beach landscapes, am working on a good current portrait of Dave and I. You will be the first to see it!
I have so much to post for last month and this; I am taking some time off next week and hope to get caught up.
