So this is what we have planned with family for the next few weeks:
Saturday is the Day of Atonement, which is a fast day. Aunt Kellie and I are going to spend the day praying, praying, and more praying, for everyone we know who needs it (I guess that includes YOU!), and also worshiping the Lord. After church Saturday night, since the sun will have set, we are going out to get something to eat. Dad already said it would be okay, and so Steph and Sarah, if you want to come too, even just for a snack or a dessert, that is what we are planning!
Then Friday the 17th will be a Feast of Tabernacles feast day and a Sabbath dinner, and I will be by myself, since Dad will be hunting. So Carricks and Sarah, if you want to come for dinner that day at my house, I would LOVE to have you! Or, I could come to your house (hint, hint) and I would be thrilled to bring the communion! Let me know!
Then there will be a family dinner on Sunday the 19th at Aunt Kellie’s for Feast of Tabernacles. Aunt Kellie and I have not worked out the menu yet, but since it is a feast day, plan on bringing a couple of dishes. Appetizers, sides, or desserts, your choice. It will probably be at 12 unless Grandpa Don has to count at church. I will post more definitive details when I have them. Uncle Jeff is going to make an effort to be there, since it will be the last time we see him before we move. Uncle Bob and Aunt Nancy will not be there as they will be in Utah that weekend. But we are getting together with them for dinner later that week.
On Tuesday the 21st we have tickets for the Feast of Tabernacles shindig at the church. The shindig starts at 6:30 pm. Dad and I are bringing Chinese take out. Aunt Kellie is pitching some cash in so that we can bring half a dozen or so entrees plus egg rolls and dumplings to share. So Steph and Sarah, plan on having Chinese take out with us.
