The Hebrew paragraph:
8:32-9:18 {s} Wisdom and folly alike call out to the simple, to choose life or death
Pro 9:1-18 makes a Chiastic Structure:
We have been seeing the first pillar of the house that wisdom builds since the beginning of Proverbs.
The fear of YHVH is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Pro 1:7
And that first pillar, is the FEAR of YHVH (Repetition is a Teaching Tool of Scripture).
Behold, the fear of YHVH, that is wisdom. Job 28:28a
The fear of YHVH is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psa 111:10
The fear of YHVH is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Pro 9:10
Now a second pillar is clearly revealed.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. Pro 9:9
A wise man receives instruction, which is HUMILITY. Fools despise wisdom and instruction (Pro 1:7).
My son, if you receive My words, and treasure My commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of YHVH, and find the knowledge of God. Pro 2:1-5
The wise in heart will receive commands, but a prating fool will fall. Pro 10:8
When pride comes, then comes shame; but with the humble is wisdom. Pro 11:2
A wise son heeds his father’s instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke. Pro 13:1
Cease listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge. Pro 19:27
The wise man knows he knows nothing, but every word of God is pure. Pro 30:1-6
