Read Psalm 10 at Bible Gateway.
But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief,
To repay it by Your hand.
The helpless commits himself to You;
You are the helper of the fatherless.
Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man;
Seek out his wickedness until You find none. Psa 10:14-15
Today I am just amazed at how Psalm 10 seems to describe the exact situation of Sodom and Gomorrah in Gen 19. The ways of the wicked seem to always prosper, while he blesses the greedy and renounces the LORD, while the righteous cry out to God, Why do You stand afar off, O LORD? The angels told Abraham that there had been an outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen 18:21). Psalm 10 is an psalm of outcry about the wickedness of the wicked, and a plea for God to arise and lift up His hand on behalf of the helpless. Let us be intercessors and do our part – let us cry out to God concerning the wickedness of the wicked around us! We have the promise of Scripture, both in Gen 19 and Psa 10:14-15, that God does not allow wickedness to continue unchecked forever!
