psalm 29

Read Psalm 29 at Bible Gateway.

Give unto YHVH, O you mighty ones,
Give unto YHVH glory and strength.
Give unto YHVH the glory due to His name;
Worship YHVH in the beauty of holiness. Psa 29:1-2

Interesting that we read Exo 5-6 today in the Old Testament. Hey, Pharaoh, you mighty one, give unto YHVH the glory due to His name!

We are living in a time such as the time Moses and the children of Israel lived in, in that God will magnify His name again, so that even people like Richard Dawkins will know who YHVH is. Thus all the miraculous signs that have been occurring around the world give glory to His name, and they are only going to intensify and increase and grow greater, until Jesus returns in glory.

But about this time – we do not need to live in fear. God poured out judgment on Egypt – the kingdom of darkness – but Israel in the land of Goshen did not experience one speck of plague or discomfort.

In fact, in Revelation it says:

“And I heard another voice from heaven saying, ‘Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.” Rev 18:4-5

Who is the “her”? BABYLON, the MOTHER OF HARLOTS and of ABOMINATIONS of the earth, Rev 17:5. If we remain in Babylon, in the spiritual Egypt, we will share in her plagues, but if we come out of her, as Lot came out of Sodom, we will not receive of her plagues, just as Israel in the land of Goshen did not receive of the plagues – miraculously – which were poured out on Egypt.
