This was on July 1st, the weekend after Tropical Storm Debby. We didn’t get too far into the Preserve since it was still too muddy.

Great blue heron sunning himself in the morning light. Those buildings across the water at the top of the picture, belong to Mote Marine Aquarium and the fishing piers where we often go.
Brightened the picture a bit so the blue heron detail is more visible.
