Dave and I snuck off to Orlando on Wednesday to see the fabulous Christmas decor at the Disney World resorts. Why do I like Christmas decor when we don’t celebrate Christmas? Because the only biblical holiday, in which decor is part of the commandment, is the Feast of Tabernacles, the true birthday of the Son of God. And what is commanded, but boughs of beautiful trees, and garlands, and fruits, and flowers. The decor mimics the beautiful environment of the Garden of Eden, when God dwelt with man; and looks forward to the prophetic fulfillment of the appointed day, when God will dwell with man again, in Immanuel.
So, Christmas decor inspires me, for the day I can use decor in celebrating the Feast. We began the day at Coronado Springs, our favorite resort, since we spent our 25th wedding anniversary there.
