Since I am collecting and digitizing pictures of Sarah for a scrapbook, I decided to put them online as well. I will be adding to this album off and on as I am able. Anyone with cute pictures who wants to share, please e-mail them to me!

: Sep 2007. Dave’s Dad had been visiting us from Florida … he had to rush home suddenly because Dave’s Mom had suffered a terrible accident. This was at Uncle Bill and Aunt Shell’s house at the going away party … it must have been the first weekend in September. Sarah was just beginning to find her way back to the Lord by this time. I think she was pregnant with Jacob also, but she didn’t realize it yet.

: Thanksgiving 2007. What a difference in our sweet bear’s countenance! Doesn’t the joy of the Lord just shine out? She was a few months pregnant with Jacob.

: Dec 2007, at Ballingers before leaving for Florida. Sarah painted this painting, and then gave it to Grandpa Don for Christmas. This painting and his Grandma quilt are his two most prized possessions, he told me once. 🙂

: Dec 2007. Dave and I were in Florida already, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at Disney. Mike and Sarah flew down later to meet us and spend our very first Christmas with the Millers in Florida!

: Jun 2008. Please see Jacob’s birth story for all the details of Jacob’s birth and Sarah’s selfless decision to give him up for adoption, and to meet Jacob’s wonderful parents, Marand and Rachel. I will just say, Sarah loved Jacob very much, and it was very difficult to give him up … but she knew that it was the right thing to do. God was very faithful to them both. 🙂

: Jul 4, 2008. Arriving at the Loveland Golf Course to to see the fireworks. (Sarah was 21 years old).

: july 19, 2008. It took time for her heart to heal from the Jacob hole that was left there …

: July 20, 2008. Jacob came to visit when he was one month old.

: Later that day the Barrientezes went with us to Praise in the Park. Here Sarah is protecting Jacob’s ears because the music was loud.
