She had a wonderful week in Colorado (June 4 through 12), and especially spending time with Jacob, which was her primary objective! Thank you family!
But she is missing the other man in her life (Matt — you didn’t think I was going to say her Dad did you, LOL) and is ready to be home. Her flight was originally scheduled to come in late Saturday evening (last night), but United called her yesterday morning and told her they had canceled her flight. I don’t think they gave a reason.
Airlines might think this is a prudent thing to do in the short term to save money (if that is what the issue was), but they are shooting themselves in the foot in the long term, because once an airline gets a reputation for being untrustworthy with scheduled departure and arrival times, people will avoid that airline like the plague in order to get where they need to be, when they need to be there. How do they know when Sarah needed to be in Tampa? What if she had a wedding, or funeral, important appointment, job interview, or work, and so she scheduled her original flight accordingly? Sucks to be you, then, I guess is the consideration United extends to its paying customers.
So anyway, she is coming home today. Matt and Dave and I going to Tampa to pick her up!
