July 3rd. Yes, we went. Well, we had tickets for all four of us: me, Dave, Mike, and Brittany. But I ended up staying home due to unforseen tummy trouble. Dave later said it was a good thing I did, because there was standing in line for 2 hours just to enter the fairgrounds, and then more standing from 2 pm to 8 pm for the President, who actually started speaking at 8:30, and then his speech was 1-1/2 hours. So, 8 hours of standing once inside. And, it rained, no, it downpoured for 3 hours in the middle of all that. NO ONE LEFT! The reports are between 30,000 to 45,000 people were at the rally, and the fairgrounds reported the rally broke the record for the most attendance at any fairgrounds event ever. Dave came home sunburnt and soaked. To the question of whether a good time was had by all? An unequivocal “YES.” Oh, and Mike bought us Trump merch. I have wanted “THE HAT” for so long! Thank you Mike!
This gallery is not our pics, but from friends (and Dan Scavino) who also went to the rally.
Trump hats! Taken the next day.
