James 4:2b-3
I am learning the habit of asking for the things I need. I am getting better about asking for material things that I need, but along with that is the request to keep me far from coveteousness … since that is a trait American advertisers definitely try to nourish. But what do I need from Him? Healing? Ask for it. Acceptance and approval? Ask for it. The tangible awareness of His presence with me as I go through my day? Ask for it. Greater purity or singleness of heart? Ask for it. Wisdom? Ask for it. Spiritual gifts? Ask for it. I am learning that if I do not receive when I ask amiss, I however DO receive when I ask according to His will. ♥
