Continued from yesterday: if we would restore someone overtaken in any trespass, instead of alienate them further, then a spirit of gentleness is required, rather than an angry or abrasive spirit of arrogance or self-righteousness. Humility is required. Knowing that there but for the grace of God go I, is required. Those who are spiritual, who walk in a spirit of gentleness toward others, tend also to be slow to speak, and slow to point out the flaws in others (knowing their own full well). It was impressed upon me last week, that someone who thinks they pretty much have it together, and the problem is therefore with you, are precisely the ones who should not be attempting to “fix” another. ♥
