My daughter, who is expecting our second grandbaby in one month, was in the hospital yesterday for painful contractions which were five minutes apart. It turns out she was coming down with the flu, although I am not sure why it manifested itself by contractions. By the time we left the hospital last night, they had given her an IV with fluids, anti-nausea and stop the contractions medicine.
Needless to say, we brought Zane home with us. His dad will pick him up on his way home from work tonight, but hopefully our daughter will get 24 hours of uninterrupted rest, and that will help. So after being a very good boy at the hospital for three hours, last night after we got home Zane and I put together puzzles, had a snack of cookies, strawberries, and milk, and then after a few hours of watching Captain Nice dvds (our kids loved that show when they were little, by the creators of Get Smart), he had another snack of peanut butter and jelly toast with Grandpa. He stayed up way later than his normal bedtime, and fell asleep on the couch snuggled up with Grandpa.
So it is way early this morning, and I thought I might get some shipping done, clean up the kitchen, and have a little quiet time before that one- month- short- of- three- year- old wakes up and is busy busy for the rest of the day, LOL. Thankfully it is supposed to be nice today, and we can meet Zane’s cousins at the park. So if you don’t hear from me again today, it is because I am most likely pushing my grandson on the swings. I hope your day is just fulfilling. If it is spent with children, then I am sure it will be.
