You know how last time I mentioned about the only thing I might become famous for is knowing how to make every last condiment you might find in the store from scratch? Yeah, well, not so much anymore. At the Tasty Kitchen blog, they have put up a great post with links to all sorts of homemade things … like butter … and vanilla extract … and even Nutella, for crying out loud. Plus they have a new category up: homemade ingredients. So if you are into every last possible thing made from scratch, try there. I am looking forward to browsing it and learning some new things! For myself, I am going to renew my search for organic non ultra pastuerized cream for making homemade butter (and creme fraiche, and mascarpone cheese). Because organic butter from the store is ungodly expensive.
