Isaiah 3 and 4, Those who are escaped of Israel
Additional studies: Isaiah Index
YHVH’s presence in the cloud by day and the fire by night hovered over the tabernacle during the forty years of wandering in the wilderness. His presence went with them and gave them rest (Exo 33:14). Likewise, when Jerusalem is purged of sin, the holy remnant who remain in Mount Zion will dwell under His presence like a canopy. When I received Messiah Yeshua for my Savior, His blood purged me of my sins, and His presence came and dwelt within me (Rev 3:20). His presence with me has been transforming me every day for over five decades that I have walked with Him, and He has given me rest. And He will to you, too. ♥
Psalm 55, To meditate and murmer
Additional studies: Psalms, Book Two: Psalms 42-72 Index
The parable is of looking toward (hey) the water of the sea (mem) as a place of constant movement, similar to the constant in and out of the breath (hey) of a man. The movement of the waves creates the rhythmic sound of the surf which is never quiet. Thus any rhythmic sound can be meant: humming (our English word “to hum” comes from hamah), buzzing of bees, rain pattering outside, rhythmic purring of a cat, even strumming of stringed instruments. ♥
Ephesians 1, His people, His possession
Additional studies: Ephesians Index
That He has given us His Spirit, is our pledge, our guarantee, our down payment of our future redemption as God’s possession. We are God’s inheritance (v. 11), and our inheritance (v. 14) is the full redemption of ourselves as His possession. *mind blown*
