Daniel 7 and 8, And the vision of four beasts
Additional studies: Daniel Index
Today, we have been taught that saints need not pay attention to the Torah or Law of God, but that it has been changed. Saints are taught this, even though Jesus said that He would not change God’s Law, but that it would endure, and anyone who broke even the least commandment in the Law, and taught men to do so, would be least in the kingdom of heaven (Mat 5:17-19). When did someone change the Law of the Most High? Good question—whoever caused that change, according to Daniel’s prophecy, was acting as the eleventh horn.
Proverbs 3, The excellency of wisdom
Additional studies: Proverbs Index
Pro 3:1-18 forms a Chiastic Structure. We learned in Pro 1:7 that the fear of YHVH is the beginning of knowledge. Now the A pair teaches that fearing YHVH enough to keep His commandments, is the equivalent of wisdom. Why does YHVH care whether we know wisdom or not? The central axis reveals it: He loves us, and doesn’t want the end of fools to come upon us.
Revelation 2:1-3:22, The letters to the seven churches Chiasm
Additional studies: Revelation Index
The Letters to the Seven Churches inclusive, forms a single Chiastic structure, with the central axis: “Remember, therefore, how you have received and heard” (Rev 3:3a). It comes in the middle of the letter to Sardis, who had a reputation for being alive, but, Yeshua warned them, were dead and needing to wake up. How have we received and heard? With faith as a little child. The letters take us back to firsts: first love, first works, and first faith.
