Ezra 3 and 4, The accusations of the enemy
Additional studies: Ezra Index (in process)
He who speaks by the Spirit of God, speaking the words of God, speaks edification, exhortation, and comfort. Beloved, what thoughts do we heed, when we hear thoughts in the register of our minds? Thoughts of accusation or edification? Accusations originate with haSatan, while edification originates with the Spirit of God!
Proverbs 8, The call of wisdom
Additional studies: Proverbs Index
This is one of the most important tasks God has entrusted to parents: to help their children respond to the call of wisdom, rather than to the call of folly. The turn from simplicity to wisdom is vital, for if a child is left to his own foolishness, he endangers his very life.
Revelation 6, The first six seals
Additional studies: Revelation Index
The events of the vision began to be fulfilled without delay as soon as John had seen the vision, just based on the fact that this is what the Scriptures say. God was perfectly able to say something else if He meant something else. This is also why I am a young earth creationist, because the history described in the first chapters of Genesis is most straightforwardly understood to mean creation in the recent past. In order to make it mean something else, the linguistic gymnastics have to start.
Three-year Bible.
