The difference between Jacob and Esau, is that Jacob desired to inherit the covenant with God held by Abraham and Isaac, while Esau could care less. Esau was at home with idolaters and the perverse, while Jacob chafed at his long separation from his father’s house. Thus the two seeds traced through Scripture: of the serpent and the woman, of Cain and Abel, of Ishmael and Isaac, of Esau and Jacob.
Proverbs 30:1, Understanding the translation
Additional studies: Proverbs Index
Before we can unpack this chapter with any of the other teaching tools, we have to first understand what it is saying. We have to have a proper translation. “Words of the Gatherer; the son of the Blameless: his prophecy. This mighty man declared God who is with me, even God who is with me, and consumes me.”
Revelation 22, The water and tree of life
Additional studies: Revelation Index
We have the thumbprint of the Holy Spirit on the entire Word of God from beginning to end, so that we know the Greek Testament is just as much Thus saith YHVH as Torah. And a second witness: the same message that has been repeated from the beginning, and repeated by Yeshua, and repeated by the apostles, is also repeated here: Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city, Rev 22:14. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
