Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! Psa 47:1
God is gone up amidst shouting, YHVH amidst the sound of the trumpet. Psa 47:5
To shout. Strong’s H7321 רוע rua, a primitive root meaning, “to shout,” literally, “to split the ears.” The 3-letter root is resh + vav + ayin, but according to the Ancient Hebrew Lexicon, the ayin was originally a ghah.
resh ר = the head of man, thus head, first, top, beginning, man
vav ו = the tent peg, thus add, secure, hook
ghah § = rope, thus twisted, goat, dark, negative
The story: The man (resh) bound (vav) to a twisted way (ghah), i.e., one who does evil, causes a loud outcry of grief (from the victims of his evil actions is implied). The mournful outcry is the negative spin, the joyful outcry is the positive spin.

Shouting. Strong’s H8643, teruah, a concrete noun meaning, “tumult;” from Strong’s H7321 רוע rua, the above primitive root.
To go up. Strong’s H5927 עלה alah.
*****
trumpet. Strong’s H7782, shofar, a concrete noun meaning, “trumpet;” from Strong’s H8231 שפר shaphar, a primitive root meaning, “to polish.” The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon defines it as “a bright or beautiful sight or sound,” listing the English derivatives of spiral, from the shape of the ram’s horn; and spring, from a beautiful sight. The 3-letter root is shin + pey + resh.
shin ש = two front teeth, thus sharp, press, eat, two, again
pey פ, ף = the mouth, thus open, blow, scatter, edge
resh ר = the head of man, thus head, first, top, beginning, man
The story: Pressing (shin) to the mouth to blow (pey) at the beginning (resh) of the month.

King. Strong’s H4428, melek, a concrete noun meaning, “king;” from Strong’s H4427 מלך malak, a primitive root meaning, “to reign.” The 3-letter root is mem + lamed + kaph.
mem מ ,ם = the water, thus chaos, mighty, blood
lamed ל = the shepherd’s staff, thus teach, yoke, to, bind
kaph כ , ך = the open palm, thus bend, open, allow, tame
The story: The mighty (mem, but may also carry the meaning of a blood line) who use their authority (lamed) to bless (kaph).

He chooses our inheritance for us, the excellence of Jacob whom He loves. Selah Psa 47:7, the central axis.
To choose. Strong’s H977 בחר bachar. This verb has the meaning of picking out that which is the choicest of all, as in selecting the firstfruits sacrifice.
*****

*****
Excellence. Strong’s H1347 ga’own, a concrete noun meaning “exaltation, majesty, pride;” from Strong’s H1342 גאה ga’ah, a primitive root meaning, “to be lifted up, to be exalted.” The 3-letter root is gimel + aleph + hey.
gimel ג = the foot, thus foot, walk, gather
aleph א = the ox head, thus strength, power, leader
hey ה = man w/raised arms, so look, reveal, wonder, worship, breath
The story: To lift (gimel, i.e. something is lifted so that it can be carried by walking to another place) strongly (aleph) on high (hey, as the man’s upraised arms are held aloft).
In other words, Jacob is the firstfruits, the choicest of the nations, and our Father chooses the choicest for our inheritance. He blows my mind every day!
