Genesis 1:26, According to its kind

Once He began filling what He had formed, everything living was made after its kind. Grass, herbs, fruit bearing trees, sea creatures … all the way to the beasts of the field. Torah goes out of its way to establish a Pattern. But then when God creates man, He seems to break the pattern, for nothing is said of “according to its kind” for the first time. But then:
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;” Gen 1:26.
Man is also made according to his kind, which is God’s own “kind!” That is, man is an eternal spiritual being, made to be the seed or children of God from the beginning! Oh my goodness …

The righteous man has regard for—nay, delights in—the Torah (Hebrew of “Law”) of YHVH, and meditates in it day and night. “To regard,” is to maintain a protective interest in, to care for, to attend to, to have consideration of, according to Webster’s. YHVH then has regard for the way of the righteous man. We will see this reciprocal relationship between YHVH and the righteous man, who delights in YHVH and in His Word as the written expression of His nature, expressed throughout the Psalms.
Matthew 1, Jesus the promised seed

The birth of Jesus was the fulfillment of prophecy. He is the Promised Seed of Gen 3:15, of whom it was prophesied that He would be born of woman and crush the head of the serpent. The serpent, whose head He will crush, brought about the separation of God and man. Jesus (Immanuel, God with us) will undo that and bring about their dwelling together again, the matching pairs show us, by saving His people from their sins.
