Essential Studies.
Job 41 and 42, Book of Job reverse parallelism

YHVH Himself vindicates Job, and says that he has spoken right of Him. He rebukes the three friends for not speaking right of Him. The argument of the three friends throughout the book didn’t waver: that Job must have sinned, and therefore his suffering was deserved. While suffering is sometimes deserved and a result of consequences of sin, it isn’t in every case. That is the wisdom to take away from Job, since humans tend to be quick to condemn what they have no knowledge of. The mysterious Elihu is not rebuked, no, not commented on at all. The central axis of the book of Job: Wisdom can only be found with God, for He only has revealed it.
Psalm 26, Integrity vindicated
Additional studies: Psalms Book One (1-41) Index
The parable being told by the Hebrew Root Word, for ‘integrity’ then, is of the cross (tav) covered by the mighty (mem) blood (mem), which finishes and makes complete. Whose mighty blood covered the cross, but the blood of Messiah Yeshua! His blood results in integrity which can be judged of YHVH, and pass judgment. Millennia before Yeshua’s advent, before it was known what His ministry would be in His first advent (for even the rulers of this age did not know what the result would be if they crucified the Lord of glory, 1 Cor 2:7-8), here is the beautiful Hebrew language, prophesying of Messiah and of the Gospel of grace!
Matthew 18, Binding and loosing
Additional studies: Matthew Index
Now who are we jailing, or jail-breaking, those who have sinned against us, or we ourselves? The case can be made that it is both. We are to use with our fellow man the measure that we want used with us (Mat 7:2), so if we want to be released from our own sins, let us quickly release others from theirs. And that is the point of the parable. The unforgiving servant was free of debt, or loosed, but when he refused to likewise set his fellow servant free of debt, then he retained his debt, and his bonds.
